Attention Students and Parents of 2012 Graduates
The Grad Nite committee and volunteers are hard at work right now planning and developing the concepts for the 2012 Grad Nite event. For those who do not know, Grad Nite has been a long standing tradition throughout all of the Poway School District for many years. On the night of graduation, a huge group of parents, alumni and others all come together to provide a night to remember for those graduating.
All Westview Seniors as invited to attend on June 7, 2012. Grad Nite is a safe, sober, alcohol-free celebration held on the night of graduation. It is a gift from the parents to our graduating students. There will be music, dancing, entertainment, food, games, prizes and most of all FUN. In past years, 85% of all Senior attend this remarkable
event. Our goal this year is 500 students (that's one big event!)
The Grad Nite committee's goal is to provide this experience to each and every graduating student currently attending Westview High School. Tickets are currently on sale, and you are encouraged to buy quickly. The price will gradually increase as the event approaches, so please don't hesitate.
This is a very large production and requires thousands of hours and dollars to produce. We encourage all parents to consider donating what they can. Even the smallest donation of time or money is greatly appreciated. There are still board and committee positions available for those who want the challenge. For those who might not have a lot of time, there is still plenty of help that is required; even if it is only
an hour here or there. I encourage you to visit the Volunteer page and to sign up now. We will keep all volunteers up to date with the current status and needs which will allow you to chose what fits your schedule the best.
Please remember, this is for our children. It is a way of saying thank you for the hard work they have put into their education and to honor their accomplishments. This is one of those memorable days that many of us ( students and parents) carry for the rest of our lives. Our job, along with many others, it to make it as memorable, safe and FUN as possible.
